What is organic SEO?
Organic search happens when search engines decide there’s no local intent in the search, and the user isn’t really interested in the local component of the search topic. The user is usually looking for information rather than a specific location. An example of this would be if, instead of wanting to order a pizza (where you’d search locally for pizza delivery), you want a homemade pizza. So, you look up “pizza recipes,” and the search engine will try to give you the best, most relevant recipes.

That’s definitely the hard question to answer as they both have their usefulness in particular situations. So, the answer is: it depends. According to Revlocal, “Brick and mortar businesses with a physical office in a specific location will want to rank high in a local search. On the other hand, if you want your business to show up for certain search terms but not for a specific location, you want to try to rank higher in organic search.”
